Scintillators are materials that convert X-rays to a flash of light that eventually construct an x-ray image. They exist in more than 80% of the flat panel x-ray detectors. Despite they have been around for more than 70 years they still make images with low resolution. BrightComSol is going to change this by making a new generation of scintillators that enable true high-resolution imaging. The product is a thin film that could replace the legacy scintillators in X-ray flat panel detectors. The technology is backed by one pending patent and several trade secrets. The pilot customer is testing the product and it is working. The product is on track to go to the market in mid-2023.
